Joelle Ottoson

Joelle is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience working in the mental health and substance abuse field since 1991. She is trained in various types of addiction therapy, including substance abuse, sex addiction, and multiple addictions, as well as process addictions and financial disorders. Joelle is also certified in EMDR therapy and in the Flash technique and is a member of NASW and EMDRIA.
In addition to providing outpatient individual, family, and couples therapy, Joelle also offers groups for individuals dealing with substance abuse and sexual addiction, and for partners of those struggling with sexual addiction. She is committed to continuing education in the effects of trauma and addiction on the mind, body, and spirit, and uses techniques based in neuroscience, such as EMDR, mindfulness, relaxation, breathing, and Esogetic Colorpuncture, to explore the root cause of issues and achieve long-term benefits.
Joelle is also a 200RYT certified Yoga Instructor and Reiki Practitioner, and a founding member of Be the Change Global Wellness since 2011. Since 2012, she has been providing community yoga for Be the Change and has been involved in humanitarian work in Puerto Rico since 2013.
